RÉSUMÉS AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES ON THE WEBSITE

Last month we reminded you of the Résumé and Job Opportunity facilities on CWA’s website.

It works!

Employers do look at the résumés on the website and do hire CWA members.

If you are looking for employment or want to test the waters, CWA members can post their résumés to the website. It’s no charge for members. You can post your résumé or your qualifications. We can include your name or post it anonymously. Either way, you can still receive direct emails from prospective employers.

INSURANCE

Within the welding industry there has been a great deal of concern about the high cost of business insurance for individual welding professionals and small shops. We have had several inquiries from members and are currently seeking alternative sources of insurance. If this is of interest to you, please let us know by email at CWA’s National Office (insurance@cwa-acs.org).

Further, there is an opportunity to obtain group insurance for members. This could include life, health, dental and auto. Again, if this interests you, let us know.

WELD EXPO CANADA

Last month, we mentioned that we ran a survey of attendees at Weld Expo Canada for supplier members who exhibited. We received 495 responses and awarded ten prizes of $50 to respondents who were drawn at random.

The survey provided members with suggestions for the next show, attendee attitudes toward all phases of the show and useful information for planning the next show.
