WELDING INDUSTRY TECHNOLOGY ROADMAP
Over the last two months, the Steering Committee of the Canadian Welding Industry Technology Roadmap has been looking for input from the Canadian welding community in a series of questions that relate to the current status of welding in Canada and to the industrys direction, opportunities and challenges for the future. The answers to these questions will form part of the document that will be produced upon completion of the Roadmap. Information on the Technology Roadmap can be seen on its website, at www.weldingTRM.org.
Canadian Welding Industry Technology Roadmap regional forums will be held in Montreal on September 20 and in Edmonton on September 26. A forum in Halifax will be held on September 29, in conjunction with CWAs Board of Directors Meeting, Annual General Meeting and Annual Awards Dinner.
EASTERN BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Awards Dinner, fall Board of Directors meeting and CWA Annual General Meeting will be held in Halifax on September 30 and October 1. Contact your chapter chair with any suggestions you have for agenda items for the Annual General Meeting or Board of Directors meeting.
Hotel arrangements and meeting sites will be sent to directors in a few days.

The Association will present its annual awards, including the Mike Cherry Memorial Scholarship, the Robert J. Jacobson Memorial Award and the Michael N. Vuchnich Award, at the Annual Awards Dinner. The criteria for the awards and nomination forms can be found on the CWA website. Use the forms to nominate a welding professional who should be recognized for his or her contribution to the Canadian welding industry or to the Canadian Welding Association.
