  • Nova Scotia Chapter has also just recruited 10 new student members.
  • We now have 26 active members with an address in British Columbia. Isn’t it time we got a chapter started? An active chapter is a great way to find out about the latest in welding technology, advance your career and meet others who share your passion. Send us your thoughts.

CANADIAN WELDING INDUSTRY TECHNOLOGY ROADMAP

The TRM is progressing. We are expecting to see preliminary results shortly.

CWA JOB OPPORTUNITIES

CWA has new job opportunities posted to its website. We are posting them every week.

WELD EXPO CANADA

Supplier members of the Canadian Welding Association met with Reed Exhibitions to plan the Weld Expo Canada trade show scheduled for September 26 to 28, 2006, in Toronto. The Dream Welding Workshop will again be part of the promotional effort for the trade show and an enhanced forum on welding will be jointly presented by CWA and Reed.

If you are interested in participating in the promotion and planning process, contact the national office.

Supplier members will meet again on December 15 to discuss their plans for the upcoming show.

CANADA’S FEDERAL ELECTION

Canada’s politicians are looking for your vote. It’s now time to ask for their support for education in the trades, for job creation, and for grants and tax deductions for tools, clothing and work-related accessories.

CWA’S WEBSITE

Check your membership card. A lot of information on our website is now viewable by members only. Your user name is your surname in upper and lower cases (e.g., Smith, not SMITH or smith) and your password is your five-digit membership number.

You should now have your copy of the fall 2005 issue of the Canadian Welding Association Journal. Let us know what you think of it and about articles you’d like to see, themes you’d like explored and authors you’d like to hear from. We need your feedback.
