CWA AWARDS DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS
August 19, 2005, is the deadline for submitting nominations for the Robert J. Jacobson Memorial Award and the Michael N. Vuchnich Award. These will be presented at the Annual Awards Dinner at the end of September. The criteria for the awards and nomination forms can be found on the CWA website.

MIKE CHERRY MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Mike Cherry Memorial Golf tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, August 30, at Granite Ridge Golf Club in Milton. A worthy cause a scholarship in engineering at University of Waterloo and an opportunity to network with your fellow welding professionals. Get information online, at www.cwa-acs.org.
RONALD G. ALISON
Ronald G. Alison passed away on June 10, 2005. Mr. Alison was a 50-year employee of Lincoln Electric and held many positions, including Vice-President of Sales and Chief Executive Officer with the company. He is well remembered by his many friends and colleagues in the Canadian welding community.
NOVA SCOTIA CHANGES CHAPTER CHAIRS
Fernand Boivin will take over from Tony Rose as Chair of the Nova Scotia Chapter. Over the last several years, Tony has worked diligently to establish the Chapter and help it grow. Thanks to Tony for his service.
